      Bamboo shades can be inside mounted or outside mounted. Considering the window frame depth is the first step.

      1. Min. Inside Mount Depth: 2 3/4 inches
      2. Headrail Size: 1 3/8 inches H × 2 3/8 inches D
      3. Valance Height:
        Shade height ≥ 18 inches → Valance height = 6 inches
        Shade height < 18 inches → Valance height = 4 inches
      4. Bracket Size: 1 1/2 inches H × 1 7/8 inches D
      5. Pointed Screw Length (for securing the bracket into the window frame): 1 3/16 inches
      6. Flat Head Screw Length (for attaching the wing nut): 1 3/16 inches

      If you are ordering inside mount bamboo shades, yes — you need to deduct ⅜ inch by yourself. For example, if your window casing width is 50", you should order a width of 49-5/8".

      Beautiful shades

      The bamboo shades came in perfect condition, they look beautiful! A perfect match to some other’s i bought from a not so budget company. They were constructed to my exact measurements! Next time I would deduct the 3/8” as they recommend, to give more room not to hit the the sides of the window jam as you pull the shade down, that’s on me though.
