  • You want the shutters installed neatly inside the window opening.

Note: Measure diagonals to confirm the window is square.

① Check the Depth

Depth: Measure Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Center Left, Center Right;

Ensure it’s sufficient for a stable inside mount.

② Check the Width

Width: Measure Top, Middle, Bottom; use the smallest.

③ Check the Height

Full Height: Measure Left, Center, Right; use largest.

Measurement Check — Inside Mount

Now you have all the necessary window size data. The next step is to determine whether your window opening is suitable for an inside mount.

  • If the opening is square
Your window is suitable for an inside mount. These measurements can be used to order your shutters. Round each measurement down to the nearest 1/8".
  • If the opening is not square
An inside mount may not fit properly and could affect both installation and operation. In this case, we recommend choosing an outside mount for a better fit and improved performance.

Inside Mount Important Notes

  • Ordered width = narrowest width
  • Diagonal difference must not exceed 1/2"; if it does, an inside mount is not recommended
  • Confirm the window has sufficient depth for an inside mount; if not, consider an outside mount or other suitable options
  • Ensure the window frame or opening is sturdy enough for direct installation
  • For Cafe Style shutters, please confirm the desired café height
