What style of drape hanging header would you like?
Soft Top
No pleats on top. Apply for 4-in-1, Hook belt, Flat hook, Tab top, Rod pocket, and Back tab. Consider fullness for width.
Pleated
For a stuctured, modern look. Apply for Pinch Pleat, Pinch Pleat with Back Tab, Triple Pleat, Tailor Pleat, Triple Tailor Pleat, Goblet, Inverted Box Pleat, Ripple Fold.

What's your rod length?
Measure height to decide drapery length.
For soft top style ( tab top, 4-in-1, rod pocket, back tab ), the drapery length is measured from top of rod to floor.
For pleated and flat hook style, the curtain length is measured from rod ring eyelet or track ring eyelet to floor.
For grommet style, the length is measured from top of rod to floor.

How many inches beyond your window frame would the rod extend?
Add extra width (typically 6-15 inches) on each side of the window frame for the curtains stack.
What's the height from window top to floor?
How many inches above the window frame would you mount the rod?
(For pleated and flat hook style, please measure from rod ring eyelet or track runner eyelet to the window frame, which means you should take the hardware (rings/tracks) height into consideration;
For ceiling mount, measure from the ceiling to top of window frame.)
To provide visual height to room, mount rod closer to ceiling line. In general, rods should be mounted at least 6-8" above window frame, if you have wall space.
