      Bamboo shades can be inside mounted or outside mounted. Considering the window frame depth is the first step.

      1. Min. Inside Mount Depth: 2 3/4 inches
      2. Headrail Size: 1 3/8 inches H × 2 3/8 inches D
      3. Valance Height:
        Shade height ≥ 18 inches → Valance height = 6 inches
        Shade height < 18 inches → Valance height = 4 inches
      4. Bracket Size: 1 1/2 inches H × 1 7/8 inches D
      5. Pointed Screw Length (for securing the bracket into the window frame): 1 3/16 inches
      6. Flat Head Screw Length (for attaching the wing nut): 1 3/16 inches

      If you are ordering inside mount bamboo shades, yes — you need to deduct ⅜ inch by yourself. For example, if your window casing width is 50", you should order a width of 49-5/8".

      Excellent quality. Tight fitting for 3 of the windows. I thought the measuring guidance was to give the actual width and the they would decrease it when they cut them, but3 of ours came the exact width that we measured the opening. They still work fine, just a little tight… they are very high quality!
