THE STORY
BEHIND THE PROJECT
In the charming community of Colleyville, nestled within the vibrant Dallas-Fort Worth area, interior designer Lindsey Walker embarked on a remarkable design project that beautifully blends style and comfort. With over a decade of experience designing homes across the DFW area, Lindsey is celebrated for her ability to create spaces that are as functional as they are stunning.
Recently, the TWOPAGES team flew to Dallas to join Lindsey in exploring the stories behind the project. In the video below, Lindsey Walker takes us through the home’s transformation, sharing her design concept, the challenges she faced, and how she overcame them to create a beautifully functional space.

What was your design inspiration for this project? - LINDSEY –
I wanted it to feel very homey and warm. Earth tones were my inspiration for this home. I looked at browns, golds, neutral color palette, olive greens, anything deriving from nature. - TWOPAGES –
What was the most notable design challenge for this project? - LINDSEY –
My biggest design challenge with remodeling this home was it is an older home, so I wanted to keep with the integrity of the home, but I did want to update it and make it look current and modern. So I had to mix the styles of modern trends and a classic look.
Curtains and lighting can both be like jewelry to an outfit. It just finishes out a design.

What is your design style? - LINDSEY –
My design style is very masculine. I tend to lean towards earth tones. I love contrast, so I like blacks and browns, dark color tones, a very modern look. I like moody spaces that are comfortable and feel that like they've been lived in. I prefer to mix in antiques with newer styles as well to give that really curated look that feels warm and inviting. - TWOPAGES –
How do you usually approach picking out curtains? - LINDSEY –
When picking out curtains, especially for my clients,
I like to see how the room functions for them. Do they need blackout options or would they like light filtering option? I also like to see if they're opening and closing the curtains or keeping them open for just a decoration design style.
