I really love the fabric and overall look of these Roman shades. They have a very elegant, high-end appearance, and I think the pricing is very reasonable for the quality and custom sizing. From the inside, they look beautiful and are exactly the style I was going for.
However, there is one important thing I wish I had known before ordering.
I selected the unlined/light-filtering option, and because I chose a darker fabric, the white boning/support strips and stitching on the back of the shade are very visible from the outside of the window. You can clearly see the contrast between the dark fabric and the white strips. Unfortunately, these shades are on the front of my home, so the backs of the shades are very noticeable from the exterior.
I searched for photos showing what the back of the unlined shades looked like before purchasing, but I couldn’t find any. Since these are custom shades and non-returnable, this is something I definitely would have wanted to know beforehand, as it would have influenced my decision on the fabric and/or lining option.
I would strongly recommend that Two Pages Curtains add photos of the backside of their Roman shades, especially for the unlined/light-filtering option and darker fabrics. It would make a big difference for customers who have windows that are visible from the exterior.
