Introduce the design concept & inspiration for this project. - ESTHER ELLARD –
Set in the countryside, this home was inspired by the natural elements and colors that surround it. The owners wanted a space that was relaxing which is why I chose an organic color palette filled with browns, tans, creams, and greens. A balance of not too dark or light also played in with a balance of not too modern or traditional. - TWOPAGES –
Some highlights of the project. - ESTHER ELLARD –
The initial challenge I faced was optimizing the square footage without making it feel empty or making it feel stuffed. Designing a faux entry of sorts and opting for curved accent chairs really allowed for maximum traffic flow through that space and down the hall to the bedrooms. As with every project, I pay close attention to traffic flow when designing spaces so it was important to me that each area had plenty of room for living while also giving the freedom to add meaningful pieces.

I believe that a thoughtfully designed home enhances and increases precious moments with your family and when you have a comforting space you love that encourages lingering conversation you're suddenly free to soak up more intentional, quality time together.

How do window treatments function in your project? - ESTHER ELLARD –
Curtains, to me, are the piece of a room that truly completes a space. Per my design process, curtains are one of the things that gets installed right before all the furnishings and soft goods are placed. It's so exciting when the window treatments are installed because I know, "Oh it's about to get good." - TWOPAGES –
Why you choose TWOPAGES curtains? - ESTHER ELLARD –
Since most of my clientele are young, active families, I always incorporate TWOPAGES into my projects. First, their process is simple from start to finish. It gives me peace of mind to know that I will get exceptional support as a designer from the TWOPAGES team. Second, the quality and selection of their curtains makes their window treatments adaptable to a variety of projects. Their high quality materials like bamboo, woven rattan, linen, cotton, velvet, and other blends allow me the opportunity to give my clients refined window treatments that are custom made.
