Incoming 2026 Trends for Interior Curtains and Drapery

By Jami Campbell of Jami Campbell Interiors

2026 is bringing with it warmth when it comes to interior design. We will see warm color palettes and the return of rich wood tones in interior spaces. Gone are the days of stark whites and cool grays. In terms of window treatments in 2026, here are the top trends we will see as we welcome in this new year.

Rae Woven Shade in Ink Black

Bamboo and Woven Shades – Bamboo shades made a splash last year and we expect their prominence to continue in 2026. We will see them used on their own, but also paired with linen drapery. This layered approach is my personal favorite. I love a layered bed, and layered window treatments aren’t too far behind. Layering drapery over woven shades immediately brings depth and softness to a room. TWOPAGES Natural Ramie alongside their Liz linen drapes are the perfect combination. We will also see the use of bamboo shades in colors other than standard wood tones. I have used TWOPAGES Rae in the Ink Black in a couple of different projects and it turned out great!

Roman Linen Shades – I hope to never see another blind again! Step to the side plastic slats and welcome in the softness of roman linen shades! Not only are roman shades beautiful, but they offer excellent light control ranging from unlined to blackout. The texture that linen provides adds a softness, and it is a breathable/durable product that will last for many years. Transitional design (the mix of traditional and modern elements) is all the rage right now, and roman linen shades are the perfect window treatment for transitional designs. TWOPAGES Liz Linen Cordless Roman Shades are my personal favorite. They have a number of fabric colors available to work with essentially any space.

Adding Trim or Pattern – What makes something feel custom? Details! When the details are carefully thought through in a design you can not only see it, but feel it. One way to make a space feel truly custom is to add a trim border to drapes. I recently had fun doing this in a kid’s bedroom makeover. TWOPAGES offers a number of trim border options. This is a great way to add a pop of fun and personality. Another option is to use a pattern! Whether it is plaid, stripes, or floral…going with a pattern on your drapery screams “I didn’t get these at a box store!”

Which is your favorite incoming trend to dress windows with? Take your pick as long as you remember that no design is ever complete until it has been finished with window treatments!
