Are you looking to elevate the style of your space and create a designer-inspired look? I’m showing you how I used a layered window treatment from TWOPAGES to create the designer-curated and “Pinterest-worthy” dining nook of my dreams!
Choosing the Right Window Treatments
When it comes to choosing the right window treatments for your space, it's important to consider the style of your room, the amount of natural light you want to allow in, and the level of privacy you desire.
For this space, I chose the Liz Linen Drapes and the Bamboo Woven Shades. I knew I wanted to keep as much natural light coming into our dining area as possible - that is why I went with the unlined linen fabric on both my drapes and shade selections. I love how light and airy it keeps the space, while adding so much dimension and texture.
If you are looking to add this in a bedroom or office where privacy is important, you could opt for one of the many privacy liners TWOPAGES offers.
Choosing the Right Color for Your Space
When selecting the color for your layered window treatments, you will want to keep in mind the overall color scheme of your room and home. With the right color, you can tie the entire room together and make it feel cohesive and well-designed.
My overall home is very light and airy and I knew I wanted to keep it that way. With the Liz Linen drapes, there are three neutral white options that I was considering - Snow White, Beige White or Ivory White. I ordered the fabric samples in order to figure out which color linen fabric I thought would pair best with my Sherwin-Williams Snowbound colored walls. I also have Sherwin-Williams Urbane Bronze on my island, which is right next to this space, so I wanted to see how it would all tie together.
After looking at the samples next to my paint colors, I decided to go with the Liz Linen in Ivory White and the Bamboo Woven Shade in Cinnamon. I felt these color selections paired well with my overall paint colors and furniture I already had in the space.
If you have neutral walls and furniture you could also consider adding a darker color for contrast with your window treatments to create a focal point.
Adding Depth to Your Windows
When you combine the drapes with the woven shades, it allows you to bring more depth and dimension to your space. The contrast of the two color selections (“ivory white” and “cinnamon”) along with the different textures (Linen and Jute/Bamboo) makes this space come together and creates a more visually appealing look than your traditional curtains.
Pro tip: Choose a panel curtain width that is extra wide and a panel curtain length that directly touches the floor.
Incorporating layered window treatments into your space is a great way to achieve that designer-inspired look that elevates your home instantly. By choosing the right window treatments from TWOPAGES, the right colors and layering to add depth, you can create the space of your dreams!
