Creating A Luxury Look With Room Darkening Curtains

When you want your bedroom to look and feel relaxing and luxurious; color, texture, and quality are your primary ingredients along with functionality. I take all of this into consideration whenever I’m doing any design project, so these things cannot be ignored.

Design Challenge: Blending Modern and Traditional Elements

With this bedroom project it was no different. I wanted to make it feel more inviting. The challenge was achieving a balance between old and new by matching modern décor pieces with traditional dark wood furnishings that already existed in the room.

Color and Texture: Creating Grounding and Serenity

By using a light calm color pallete in the rug and soft textured curtains, I was able to evoke a sense of grounding, serenity and connectedness – something I think goes missing in a lot of traditional bedrooms.

Yet, I can work with any design style, and when I get the opportunity to infuse design styles or update a space so that it looks and feels more appealing to my client’s modern day quality and taste, I enjoy that.
