Features of Cotton Drapery

Temperature Regulation

Cotton is a breathable material ideal for any climate. Cotton drapes are lightweight and airy, making them a comfortable choice for summer. In the winter, you can switch to a heavy cotton drapes to help prevent drafts and can also block heat.

Soundproofing

Cotton drapery can have soundproof benefits because of its air pockets, which absorb sound waves and reduce their ability to bounce around and create echoes. Cotton sound insulation is also lightweight and offers superior acoustic properties.

Good Color Retention

Fabrics with good color retention can retain their color even after washing and in harsh conditions. Cotton's main molecule, cellulose, is attracted to water, which helps dye stick to cotton. Cotton is also resistant to fading.

FAQs

For pleated curtains, we will suggest the curtain width is 1x of the curtain rod/track, measuring the length from the eyelet ring where the curtain hooks are attached.

For pleated curtains, the panel width is the width that pleats are already set. 2X-2.3X fabric fullness in default to create pleats and folds.

  • 2x Fullness for pinch pleat, tailor pleat, inverted pleat, and goblet style.
  • 2.3x Fullness for triple pleat and triple tailor pleat style.

And panel width is from the left pleat end to the right pleat end, instead of the left curtain side hem to the right curtain side hem.

For pleats are permanently sewn to make, we normally make them in 200-230% fullness. For example, if rod or track length is 100 inches, you may order 2 panels each 50 inches width for pinch pleated, tailor pleated header style. You could also order more width if you prefer more fullness.

Normally stacking width accounts for 20% of the ordered width. So we would like to remind you that if you want the window opening to show completely when the drapery is opened, please make sure to consider stacking width when you decide on rod length.

Orders for pleated curtains come with different hooks:
Adjustable pin hooks are included for pinch pleat, tailor pleat, triple pleat, triple tailor pleat;
Metal pin hooks are included for goblet pleat, inverted box pleat;

Plastic adjustable pin hooks allow you to adjust curtain length within 3 inches. The rod/rings still need to be purchased separately

Pleats pin hooks quantity: 10 pleats for 50" width; 13 pleats for 72" width; 15 pleats for 84" width; 19 pleats for 100" width; 21 pleats for 110" width, 23 pleats for 120" width, 27 for 150" width. The width and space of the pleats may vary slightly depending on your track or pole length.

For pleated header styles, like pinch pleat, tailor pleat, inverted pleated box, goblet, and tape pleat, if the curtain finished length is over 108 inches, then the max finished curtain width without seam is 56 inches; if the curtain length is less than 108 inches, no seam for any curtain finished width. Otherwise, the width needs to be double-wide with a vertical seam.

For pleated header styles, like triple pleat and triple tailor pleat, if the curtain finished length is over 108 inches, then the max finished curtain width without seam is 50 inches; if the curtain length is less than 108 inches, no seam for any curtain finished width. Otherwise, the width needs to be double-wide with a vertical seam.

The maximum width of body memory shaped curtains is 160 inches.

TWOPAGES Memory Shape Training Curtain Technology enables the fabric to retain a crisp vertical line from ceiling to floor. After body memory shaped, your drapes will hang straight, they will have beautiful folds and they won’t flare at the bottom. Unlike regular curtain fabrics that have a tendency to lose their shape towards the bottom.

Measure the length from the eyelet on the ring to the floor.

Neutral Theme

Less is more. In the context of interior design, neutral means without color. Neutrals such as beige, ivory, taupe, black, gray, and shades of white appear to be without color. but in many applications these hues often have undertones. Be aware of these underlying tones as you match colors. Neutral colors are muted shades that appear to lack color but often have underlying hues that change with different lighting. To some extent, blacks, browns, tans, golds, and beige are considered warm. Cooler colors, on the other hand, are white, ivory, silver, and gray.
